In cooperation with the Danish Meat Research Institute, a robot for automatic removal of pork single ribs from bellies has been developed.
The unit has been developed to meet the demands from the industry, as it allows the slaughterhouses to automate a stressful workflow, where operators today manually loosen the ribs from the belly before they are further processed to e.g. the Japanese and Korean markets.
The unit will increase productivity and remove non-ergonomic workflow.
