Gambrelling

Via a sluice from the discharge end of the dehairing machine, the carcasses slide onto the gambrel table, where operators insert gambrels to the hind legs of the carcasses, before the gambrel elevator lifts the carcasses onto the main slaughter line conveyor. Gambrel for hogs & pigs in stainless steel

The gambrel table consists of a frame of stainless steel sections, two stainless steel roller chains with bolt-on slats, driving station in stainless steel housing and with a geared motor, tensioning unit, and spray pipe with nozzles for slat cleaning. The table legs – all height-adjustable +/- 65 mm – positioned relatively away from the outer edge of the table gives optimum mobility to the operator.


Mounted on both sides of the gambrel table, safety devices allow emergency stops when fixed pig legs, etc. occurs.


 


Options


An orientation unit from the discharge end of the dehairing machine will ensure the carcasses are positioned correctly on the gambrel table, ensuring an ergonomically correct working position of the gambrel operator.
